Setting a new standard for Banking Audio UX.
With over 4 million active users, the Scotiabank Mobile Banking App needed to have an Audio UX that would be functional and help to differentiate the app from the competition.
We did just that.
Core Values
One of Scotiabanks core values is to create a differentiated expereince that creates value for the client. The app already offered an incredibly easy to use interface and to compliment that, we needed to create a sound set that gave functionality and delight to add further value to the users brand journey.
A Simple Gesture.
We worked closely with the design team at Scotiabank Digital Factory to create the audio experience. At WhatSounds Design, one of our core beliefs is that the sound should follow the gesture. An interaction that stood out was the 'slide to transfer' gesture. This led us down the path to creating our hero sound.
A Vocabulary that is easily understood.
Audio UX is a missed opportunity if it is not understood. Based on our hero sound, we created a vocabulary that could easily convey the meaning of the message.
