With the release of the ChefIQ Thermometer, the eco-system was growing. This was a great opportunity to expand on the vocabulary and explore new ways to communicate with the user. ![Chef IQ ecosystem](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Chef%20IQ%20ecosystem.png?width=2000&height=878&name=Chef%20IQ%20ecosystem.png "Chef IQ ecosystem") # Sometimes a tone isn't enough. ## The Thermometer was designed to be used in various locations, sometimes away from the users phone. This led us to a challenge in conveying information that might be critical to a delicious outcome.   # Introducing the voice of Chef IQ. ## There is nothing more clear than a voice. The information is conveyed to the user without any uncertainty. We still use tone where useful, but we also introduced the voice. # Meet Alice # (not her real name) Cooking has begun 0:01 Reposition the probe 0:01 Low battery 0:00 ## "Charles has a unique talent for creating immersive audiovisual experiences that deeply connect with our customers"   ## Esther Rosenfeld - Chefman # Same voices, same vocabulary. ## Having a brand new high quality audio playback system in the Thermometer hub, we were able to create a smooth cross device audio experience. We built upon the existing vocabulary from the Multi-Cooker with the addition of the voice. ## Tones Bootup Tone 0:02 Firmware Started Tone 0:00 Connection Failed Tone 0:00 ## Voice Bootup Voice 0:03 Firmware Update Started Voice 0:04 Connectional Failed Voice 0:01 ![ChefIQ Thermo-1](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/ChefIQ%20Thermo-1.png?width=2000&height=1333&name=ChefIQ%20Thermo-1.png "ChefIQ Thermo-1") # Want to learn more about how we can help? ## Book a free 30 minute chat with Charles to talk about your unique project and how we might help bring sound into your experience. ![Round Profile](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Round%20Profile.png?width=200&height=200&name=Round%20Profile.png "Round Profile") [Book a free 30min Chat](https://calendly.com/charles-whatsounds/30min) ![WHAT SOUNDS WE ARE PROUD OF.](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/WHAT%20SOUNDS%20WE%20ARE%20PROUD%20OF..png?width=334&height=110&name=WHAT%20SOUNDS%20WE%20ARE%20PROUD%20OF..png) - [![ChefIQ Multicooker-1](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/ChefIQ%20Multicooker-1.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=ChefIQ%20Multicooker-1.png) ChefIQ Multi-Cooker Audio Branding Audio UX](https://whatsounds.design/chef_iq_multicooker?hsLang=en) - [![Chefman Kettle](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Chefman%20Kettle.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=Chefman%20Kettle.png) Audio Branding Music Composition](https://whatsounds.design/elevating-the-chefman-electric-kettle?hsLang=en) - [![Scotiabank App-1](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Scotiabank%20App-1.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=Scotiabank%20App-1.png) Scotiabank Mobile Banking App Audio UX](https://whatsounds.design/scotiabank-mobile-banking-app?hsLang=en) - [![Chefman ToastAir](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Chefman%20ToastAir.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=Chefman%20ToastAir.png) Chefman Toast Air Audio Branding Sound Design](https://whatsounds.design/chefman_toastair?hsLang=en) - [![Weber Hub](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Weber%20Hub.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=Weber%20Hub.png) Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub Audio UX](https://whatsounds.design/weber_hub?hsLang=en) - [![Lyft App](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Lyft%20App.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=Lyft%20App.png) Lyft - Rideshare App Audio UX](https://whatsounds.design/explore-lyfts-enhanced-audio-experience-whatsounds-design?hsLang=en) - [![June-2](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/June-2.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=June-2.png) June Intelligent Oven Audio Branding Audio UX](https://whatsounds.design/the-june-oven?hsLang=en) - [![Ily Phone-1](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/Ily%20Phone-1.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=Ily%20Phone-1.png) Ily Phone Audio UX](https://whatsounds.design/ily?hsLang=en) - [![ChefIQ Thermo-1](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/ChefIQ%20Thermo-1.png?width=4096&height=2731&name=ChefIQ%20Thermo-1.png) ChefIQ Thermometer Audio Branding Audio UX](https://whatsounds.design/chefiq-thermometer) [linkedin-in icon](https://www.linkedin.com/in/charlie-balderston) [instagram icon](https://www.instagram.com/whatsoundsdesign/) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.youtube.com/@whatsoundsdesign) - [Products](https://whatsounds.design/products) - [Work](https://whatsounds.design/#Work) - [About](https://whatsounds.design/about) - [Blog](https://whatsounds.design/blog) - [Apps](https://whatsounds.design/apps) --- [![WhatSounds Logo-3](https://whatsounds.design/hs-fs/hubfs/WhatSounds%20Logo-3.png?width=70&height=47&name=WhatSounds%20Logo-3.png "WhatSounds Logo-3")](https://whatsounds.design/?hsLang=en) Copyright WhatSounds Design © 2024,
