Inspired sound for an inspired product.
The ChefIQ multi-cooker and app form a cutting-edge combination, enabling users to prepare amazing meals with a single device. WhatSounds Design was commissioned to develop a unique sonic identity and Audio UX for the new system, distinguishing it from its parent company, Chefman.
Social System.
The sonic identity needed to be utilized across multiple channels, ranging from product videos, as seen above, to seasonal social posts. Below are a few examples of the interpration of the brand sound.

Different voices, same vocabulary.
Having two distinct playback systems created an interesting challenge for us to undertake. We needed to create a vocabulary of sounds that would be recognizable on both the cooker (piezo electric) and the users phone. To do this, we defined each audio touch-piont and went to work creating our sound set. Then we adapted each sound for its native playback system.

For the ChefIQ Multi-Cooker Getting Started Video, we wanted to make sure that we built trust and confidence with the user. To accomplish this, we utilized sounds from the app, so that when the user was setting up the unit, the sounds they heard in the video were the exact sounds they would hear from their phone!
